小组合作学习要明确小组人数不能超过4人。在学习活动中，要使每一个孩子有自己的角色分工，例如：导演者、发言者、控制音量者、记录者等等不同分工，使每个孩子有自己的工作。最后，再综合每个孩子的发言整理出一份集体智慧的结晶。这样的小组合作过程才流畅有序，结果才有意义。

在小组合作学习中，部分小学生没有养成自主学习的习惯，遇到困难并不善于寻找解决困难的途径，所以经常会有这部分学生在小组合作学习中游离于团体之外，最后只等结果，长此以往，容易形成思维的依赖性，也不利于独立习惯的养成。所以要学会分工，根据学生的特点从而分工明确。
